Welcome to the Selenium Lab

All things selenium.

Why Selenium?

Selenium (Se) is a trace element and a dietary micronutrient essential to a healthy life. Our lab investigates how selenium metabolism and selenoproteins impact cell physiology, redox homeostasis, energy expenditure, and neuroendocrine circuitry, an understanding that contributes to nutritional and medical strategies.
